We conduct a visual inspection of readily accessible components of the HVAC system. This includes checking the condition of the furnace or air handler, looking for visible damage. We look for damaged, missing, or improperly installed roofing material. The flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights for proper installation and signs of leaks. The roof's sheathing is evaluated where visible (often from the attic). Gutters and downspouts are inspected for proper attachment, condition, and functionality.
The inspection includes owners entry door, walls, overhead door, lighting, electrical outlets, auto openers and safety features associated with the space.
We inspect the insulation levels and type, looking for proper installation and any signs of moisture or damage. The framing and structural components are inspected for any visible issues like cracks, sagging, or rot. Ventilation is assessed, looking for proper airflow and any signs of inadequate ventilation which can lead to moisture buildup. Wiring is checked for proper installation and any signs of damage or outdated materials. Plumbing lines running through the attic are examined for leaks as well.
